Destry Brown KSSA President Elect (KSSA Talk #34)

DestryDestry Brown has been an educator for 31 years.  He spent 11 years as an elementary teacher, 7 years as an elementary principal, and the last 13 years as a central office administrator.  He is currently the superintendent of schools in Pittsburg, KS, a position he has held for the last six years.

Destry received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Pittsburg State University.  He is a native to Southeast Kansas.  He was elected President Elect of KSSA last spring and will assume the duties of President this summer.

His son, Keaton, attends college at Pittsburg State University majoring in Construction Management.  His dog, Beau, is his faithful companion at home and majors in dragging things out of the garage and chewing on things he shouldn’t.
