Dr. Shelly Kiblinger, Superintendent USD 308 (KSSA Talk #25)

Kibliger for webDr. Kiblinger is superintendent at USD 308, Hutchinson, Kansas.

Dr. Kiblinger started in education in Fredonia in southeast Kansas. She was language arts, drama and speech teacher at Fredonia Middle School and Fredonia High School from 1989 to 1999. From 1997 to 1999, Dr. Kiblinger was school improvement and public relations coordinator for Fredonia High School.

The educator served as an adjunct professor for Kansas State University from 2006 to 2008 and has her ELL endorsement from Newman University.

Dr. Kiblinger also has been a small business owner, having owned Schwatken Grain & Gravel from 1988 to 1998, a trucking company that operated in the four-state area near Sycamore, Kan..

The educator received her doctorate in administration and leadership from Kansas State University in 2004, receiving the outstanding graduate student award that year. She received her master’s in educational leadership in 1997 from Pittsburg State University and her bachelor of science in education in 1989 from Pitt State. A 1985 graduate of Neodesha High School, she received her associate of arts in 1987 from Independence Community College.┬áDr. Kiblinger has also received the Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner training.
